The Great Northern Exhibition and Collingwood Agricultural Society focus on agriculture education as one of the key pillars of our work. An important part of this is Education Day, held the Friday of our fair each year. Some of the displays include sheep shearing, a dairy display with the cows being milked, quilting, farm machinery and other displays pertaining to rural life. On Saturday and Sunday we continue education with cow milking demonstrations, sheep shearing, and other displays. These are educational days for all fairgoers.

2023 Updates:

This year, Education Day is Friday September 22. Education Day is on the same day as a PA Day for most local students this year. We will still be running modified Education Day programming and encourage you to bring any kids in your life to experience agriculture and our Fair. Students in the West Zone should expect to receive an admission pass and Education Day passport from their school. Stay tuned on this page for more details on our 2023 Education Day activities and schedule.
